Rashel Foundation Logos
this is a little pro-bono work i am doing––my first logos in a while.
the rashel foundation is a non-profit that provides a way for people to give money to help single parents with cancer pay for their medical expenses. so i was mainly trying to show the idea of support, or people working together.
oo nice. i like the last one i thinik the most. they all give the idea of working together, to be fair, but the top one remind me of the "safe place" logo (whichi isnt an inherently bad thing. i do like that it is more..as in more than just person+child etc) but the idea of growing...exponetial growth of the help..the last one says that to me more than the rest. nice work. simple.

Posted by: cary norton at August 3, 2005 10:16 PMi knew that the top one reminded me of some logo, and i think it is the safe place one, and i am sure there are others that are similar too. i went and looked the the safe place logo, and somehow there is something that is very unsafe about those fingers encapsulating the person in that logo, anyways, the top one will be the one being used, which i am happy about, i prefer it to the others because it is a bit more specific/illustrative, and i think the others are a bit too elegant/jewelry store/snooty.

Anyhoo, they're all lovely Slow. I am a big fan of the one they chose. I think it speaks most to what the organization is about. My other favorite was the second one (I like the "exponential growth" aspect Cary had mentioned.) The third reminded me too much of a bike gear. Or a big alien with lots and lots of eyes, and the one in the middle is staring me down...I'm freakin' out here.
You've still got the touch. And oh yes, b/c I'm a loser and my cell is busted...HAPPY (late) BIRTHDAY!!! I hope it was a great one. Wish I could've been around. :)
And also...I've got a new apartment all to myself! I'm soooo pumped! I'm still in Brooklyn, and in the same neighborhood that I love. Round 2 of visits BEGIN!!!
Posted by: angie at August 8, 2005 10:19 PMang, the site has been back up for like a month AT LEAST! thanks for remembering my birthday, although, i haven't really gotten to celebrate it yet, mental_floss is going to press on thursday and we are behind, well, to be truthfull, editorial is behind, i am just playing catch-up because of them.
i am teaching at samford again is about two weeks, and still have quite a bit of planning to do so i will be calling you to ask you questions about the web stuff that you do, so getchur phone fixed.
