forgot to mention the great day i had at J&J junk yesterday. i found 3(1,2, i can't remember what the 3 one is, sorry) old brownie like cameras. they all shoot 620 film which is 120 but on a different spool so i could shoot with them if i want to, but they will probably be more just for fun to display and have. I am such a nerd. i should make a page on the website devoted to my camera collection. in fact i will do that. give me a week and i will give you my camera collection in all its majesty.
also of note on the camera front is my latest ebay buy. it is another half-frame, but it is less automatic and just a better camera. its a olympus pen d. it should be a really cool camera to use seeing as the other half-frame is cool. this should be cool^3.
one more thing, cary has put a blog on the site again. yea (crowd cheering, mass hysteria, riots)
so it has been a while since the last post. i guess not too much has been going on. i have been trying to set up movealble type on my site, but the mysql and php and blah blah blah stuff that i know nothing about has been giving me problems. so i am still here with blogger. one think that i did do today was to create a bulletin board on my site so that you (whoever you are) can write me comments about my posts and blogs and photos and design and what not, and maybe we can even have discussions about the aforementioned items. basically i thought it would be cool in a sort of "graphicdesignerd way" so if you have something to say i would love to hear it. just click on the comment link and make a post in the bulletin board.
i am still working on various website navigations that hopefully will me making their way on the online soon, but until then you will just have to deal with this old thing.

i got the first half-frame roll developed this weekend and it came out great. i got it printed with two pics per 4x6 and some of the juxtapositions look awesome. very fun. and very inexpensive to get lots of pictures. i got almost 60 shots from one 35mm roll. so if anyone is thinking about getting one of these cameras just look on ebay for "olympus pen" and you can probably get one for about 20 bucks. did i mention that it's great? awesome? supa-cool? 'cus it is! ok, so i really don't have much to say, i have been working in flash again to try and develop a nice portfolio/professional side to the site as i try and enter the working world. so maybe in a week or so i will have something in a 'beta" form.
there has been a new addition to the digital sucks contest, but he has alot of catching up to do...

we made it just in time to the White Stripes show in atlanta yesterday and it was really good. they were pretty fun to watch. but i think they could be much better in a smaller venue than a large field full of rednecks who were just there because there was a free show. but alas i digress and will just say that it was good.
i am still working on the first roll of half-frame but it will probably be done soon and hopefully all will be good. i think they could look almost lomo cool if they get printed 2 to every 4x6. needless to say i am excited and just want to finish the roll. i am giddy as a little school girl.

i got my olympus pen ees half frame camera in today. hopefully i will shoot a bunch with it this weekend. i am not so sure that i will finish the roll though seeing as how i can fit 48 pics on one 24 exp. roll.
speaking on this weekend, i am going to a free White Stripes show in ATL on friday night, and stephanie is coming into town this weekend to hang with me and giga and all the other cool guys.

so the post below this one is an interesting little dilema. you see when i was typing it up i started to make a link in the text but i couldn't remember part of the code that i was using so i went ahead and posted it, and when i did that i disabled my ability to edit it because i left the tag open and so whenever the closing tag shows up it gives that link the link that i made, if that makes any sense. so basically it is just a post that is stuck there forever and ever and there is nothing i can do about it. ok
so i what i was trying to say there (the last post) was that i put up my stuff from my NYC trip and you can see it here

ok so i wrongly placed blame on samford for my site going down yesterday. actually what happened was that i hadn't paid for hosting and PAIR finally suspended my site. but no worries. i am currently working on getting everything set up on my new server and hopefully in the next day or so it will be back up and working. of couse what is funny is that i am posting this and i am probably the only person who can read it right now. all the rest of you will be reading this when the site goes back online two or so days from now. anyways. thats it
well i am at the schools computer lab and it seems that as of about 2pm today samford has blocked my website. because now i get a 403 Forbidden page everytime i try to access it from here. what a pain. i guess i will go over to the old apartment and see what i can figure out from there. more on these events as they pan out...

i am getting my 4 rolls back today from NY so hopefully there will be some good ones in them. i am also currently editing the 600+ digis that i took so that i can upload them sometime soon. speaking of uploading stuff. i started a new webhosting account today in which i will have 500 megs of space to play with so i should be able to put up a lot more movies that i have been wanting to put up for a while but just didn't have the space. anyways. hopefully that will happen in the next week or two. if the site goes down for a while between then it is just because i am moving it around and stuff.

new york has been rockin out. we are headed back to ktown tomorrow and then i guess i will probably be back in bham on the next day (wednesday) man am i wiped though right now, i stood up and walked around probably about all day. we saw the MoMA, PS1, and guggenhiem and then cary and i went to the world trade center site and then to the brooklyn bridge which we walked across. so i need some sleep. but i have taken many many many many photographs which i will post up when i get back and feel like it (end of the week) ok, bye
the concert was incredible. i was soaked and cold untill the end of the beastie boys, beck hurt himself getting on stage, but radiohead was incredible. i got pics and videos of it that i will post when i get back to birmingham. i am totally tired now. but more later...

can i just tell you that i am so sick of this gas station page thingy. definitely something that will change soon, along with the next page in the navigation. i am considering having multiple navigations. only drawback would be updating everyone of them. man do i need to learn some xml and how to integrate that into flash. if i could do that i would RULE!
well, my plans of getting back to bham soon may not materialize. it seems the the u joints (they aren't u joints, but they are similar, it is just at this moment i cannot remember exactly what they are called) anyways, the connection between my wheel hub and axel seems to be pretty much shot, so tomorrow i will find out if i am going to take it somewhere to get it fixed or if i am going to stick around here this weekend so that my dad and i can fix it ourselves. woohoo. oh well, i really had nothing better to do than go climbing and hang with friends.

ipod... aaaawwwwrrrrrgghhhhhhh (drool)(drool)(DROOL) yeah, i am thinking about getting one. they are just so choice. plus there are mp3 players, firewire hardrives, calenders, address books, notepads (kinda), they have games. (this is me trying to justify the near $400 dollar purchase to myself), but hey i have graduation money! i've earned this ipod! 16 years of school. i deserve this ipod. and this is why i will buy one most likely in the next little while. anyways enough about my technological fantasies.
not too much has been going on lately, i have just been relaxing at home, and it has been nice! here is what i have done over the past 3 days. washed my car inside and out, well i didn't wash the inside that would just be a mess, i mean all that water soaking into the seats and all, i vacuumed the inside. i changed my cars oil, i went shopping with the mom, i painted some power outlets to match the wood which will be surrounding them. thank you samford for teaching me how to mix paint so well. my schooling is already paying off. i cleaned up my bedroom and closet. and on top of that i watched tv and read magazines. man has it been rough. but it is exactly what i needed for about a week. i think that is all i can take. during this time i have been coming up with projects that i want to work on this summer so hopefully (since i didn't write them down) i will be able to remember them later on.
i have talked to graham and stephanie since i have been home and needless to say, we all miss each other. i mean i has been two weeks since we last saw each other and that is just weird when you have been spending everyday together for about a month straight. so hopefully we will get together this weekend and hangout just like old times, and talk about computers and graphic design and nerdy stuff like that. yeah, that would be great. and also graham wants to go climbing sometime soon, so maybe we will have another climber coming through the winslow taft school of climbing this summer.
one more note. i think i am changing hosting services with my site, so it might see some down time in the next week or two, but when it comes back it will be bigger and better than ever. because right now i only have 100 megs of space to play with [which i find a bit limiting] but with the new hosting i am going to pay like 3 dollars more and get 500megs to play with [more videos], which means i will probably be able to run the craghead.net and winslowtaft.com on the same account. i also get cgi scripts, and all kinds of other great stuff which will let me use moveable type instead of blogger. which will allow more things to happen with the blog like a way to post comments and things of that nature. anyways, it should be really good.
wow this is a long post. well since i got new running shoes today, i am thinking i might go and test them out. but one more thing. i think that i am going climbing on thurday and friday but i should be back in birmingham on friday night. ok that is it. goodbye and farewell young cowboys
