so i have had nearly

so i have had nearly nothing to talk about lately. i have been working quite a bit lately on this guy's logo and stuff. nothing else really interesting has been happening, scatch that, there has been alot happening. the main thing being a big trip to go tubing down the cahaba last weekend. i could go into lots of details and stuff, but here is the jist -- you drive out into the middle of nowhere then pay this red a Lincoln and they put you in the back of thier truck with an old truck tire innertube and take you through these cow pastures and drop you off up stream of there little camp. while riding with the guy it is not unusual to here talk from the driver including such things as "now don't you guys go looking for my shrooms, they are all around here, but they are mine. I have had like 8 or 9 of them already today." at the drop off point you will find yourself walking down a dirt bank with beer cans strewn about. We seemed to be in the minority by not having a floating cooler full of beer with us. i think you get the idea. after the first rapid, besides it inflicting some pain on us, it tumpted all of this one party's canoes and they seemed to drunk to figure out how to get them unpinned from the rapids. so spear and i picked three of them out of the rapids. This when all of the guys in this party looked like ex-football players and stuff. to skinny punks pull out thier canoes. also thier little accident spilled thier cooler into the river, so there were full cans of beer floating down the river with us. it was fun, but it was also one of the dirtiest rivers i have seen and kinda gross to be in. so if you want an adventure go to Limestone something somewhere out in the middle of nowhere alabama.

on the other side of the spectrum, i need to pick of some holgas today. the roll spans from new york to wednesdays trip to atlanta. and i am not really sure what is in between. but i will scan them and put them up if they are any good.

train of thought lost, losing will to type, must do something else...

all apologies for the

all apologies for the blogging incident yesterday which i do not wish to discuss now. on to today...

so today mr. norton and i made a trip back to the thrift store to hopefully get a couch i saw yesterday. well there were a few mishaps along the way but all in all we were successfull. you see what happened was this, i was driving our 94? dodge ram truck around and the right front brake decide to lock in place on the wheel and drag causing the truck to not be able to go over 35mph and also to shake violently at said (dang it i have been around cary) speed. so we had to stop and try and let the brake cool down so that it would unlock. you see, this has happened to me before on a trip to bham last summer when i was moving into my apartment for the year. again i just had to wait for the brake to cool down and was then good to go, althought the trip home was a bit stressfull because i didn't want it to happen again. so while we were waiting for the brakes to cool down i decided i might as well get under the truck and maybe bang on the brake caliper itself to try and knock it loose (but you know what? if it wasn't breaking loose from the pressure the pedal puts on it when you push it, it probably will not come loose from my gentle rap rap rapping on it, OH WELL) anyways, so we ended up taking cary's mom's pt cruiser which worked beautifully except that we had to leave to back hatch open causing exhaust fumes to come into the car, but that was easily solved by rolling down all the windows. speaking of the back hatch being open, it wasn't open all of the way, it was held mostly closed by some "ties that you wear." you see, when we put "the supa-cool couch" in the car, cary and i were commenting that we needed some tie downs, like bungees of something, well mr man at AmVets says, "hold on, i'll get some ties that you wear." i of course wasn't listening so close as cary and while said man was gone cary goes, "did you hear what he said?" and i said, "yeah he is going to get some ties for us (thinking tie downs)" and cary said, "no, he said 'ties that you wear' like neck ties." of course at this moment there was much laughter and so forth. so mr man comes back out with the "ties that you wear" and ties down the back hatch on the cruiser. and it worked. unfortunately i was off my game and forgot to get pictures of it, anyways, so now i have a supa-cool couch, and you can see it.

i also did a little imprompto bathroom photoshoot last night and there are some of the digital shots available for viewing and purchacing here.

before leaving bham last week i started a roll of film in the pen d (which is so choice!) and i shot a little series of trash cans in homewood. well i scaned said strip of film tonight and here it is for your viewing pleasure.

also, i just got a call from yams saying that the apartment people called him today and supposedly had been trying to call me? of course i called them today, before they closed, and left a message, but they didn't return it, so i guess they didn't want to talk to me too much. anyways, yams said that they wanted us to sign the lease on friday, which is perfect because that is when i wanted to sign the lease and move in. so it looks like everything is going to work out. i can't wait to see my couch in said apartment. (so hot, want to touch the hinny)

ok, time to go! goodnight moon!

i just typed up a whole bunch about what had been going on and IE shut down on me. i am too upset with it to type it all over again, so here is a summary. Julie:married and on honeymoon after some mishaps, ME: having fun in Knoxville with the parents and relatives. THRIFT STORES: clothing at thrift stores in knoxville is good, but expensive compared to bham. FOOD: really good, think great chefs of europe on Discovery. sorry that there isn't more, there was, i swear, but it is all gone now.

ohhhh the sadness, it seems

ohhhh the sadness, it seems that 5 in a row is the limit on digital sucks as cary's streak came to an end today. although we did pretty much own the month of july. i find it very interesting that cary and i are the only ones who have done that? is it possible that bill grimshaw reads my blog and just wanted to see what would happen if he messed with us like that or what? for those of you who aren't digital sucks freaks, bill is the webmaster there. bill says, "Be Square at F/8" definitely a motto to live by. oh yeah, we are on a first name basis too. well, just cary and i.

just got back from the rehersal and rehersal dinner for my sis's wedding, and it was great. saw all kinds of family that i hadn't seen in years and also got to meet the Spearman's families too. nothing too embarrassing was told about me from childhood althought i was warned about what would/could be brought up when i get the hitched which is so much the long way off i don't even know where it is. lets just say years as in a few mean more than 1 or 2. anyways... there are embarassing stories about me around in the family that will most likely make it out when that happens (my getting married that is) maybe some of you will even be around to hear it when it does. you know what, i just don't even want to think about that [getting married] time to change the subject...

5 days till my birthday, for those interested in spending money on me, you can pool it together and get me a 15 gig Ipod. thanks

speaking of my birthday. LISA JACKSON I AM WAITING FOR MY PRESENT. AND I HAVE BEEN PRETTY PATIENT, BUT THAT IS ABOUT TO END although i guess i can wait until you come in town a week later or whatever it is. but it better be good because you are way overdue!
